Do you live between Blayney and Bathurst? Entries are now open for the 2018 Blayney and Villages Hay Bale Art Challenge.
The hay bale art challenge is an annual event, where residents, schools and communities along the B2B route are invited to create a sculpture or artwork out of hay bales.
This community event is supported by Blayney Shire Council, the Blayney Town Association, and the local village progress associations of Barry, Newbridge and Hobbys Yards, but all villages between Blayney and Bathurst are welcome to take part. This year organisers are extending the invitation to participants in Georges Plains, Rockley and Perthville.
There are some great prizes up for grabs, and more than 5000 visitors and locals are expected to travel to visit the artworks.
For more information, or to enter, visit the Blayney Shire Council website. Entries close Tuesday 10 April 2018.
From Monday 16 April – Monday 23 April the hay bale artworks will be on display. If you would like to see these artworks, pick up a Blayney Hay Bale Art Challenge map and take a drive through the villages – you can also vote for the people’s choice award.
